At OPK, our team is the heart of everything we do. With decades of collective experience and a passion for dogs, each member brings their own expertise and credentials to ensure every pet receives the highest level of care.

Mandy | Owner

Being a founder of her own dog rescue, Mandy is beyond committed to loving all dogs that come through our doors. Her number one priority at OPK is safety, closely followed by fun. Being a mom, it's very easy for her to love all of our guests as her own. Rest easy knowing that at the end of the day, all camp decisions must get a Mandy stamp of approval.

Ryan | Owner & Trainer

Ryan is all about community and getting to know you & your family. His goal is to strengthen your family's relationship through training. With over ten years of experience and a recent refresher of his certification. Ryan radiates a calm, and confident demeanor that makes training with any dog a great experience.

Emma | Lead Trainer

Our team member with the best connection to any and all dogs, is Emma. Her ability to identify various signs of behavior, and adjust her aura to maintain a positive space for dogs is unmatched. Working in training, daycare, and boarding; she's fine tuning her 8+ years of hands on experience with dogs every day.

Jess | Boarding Specialist

Jess started as a dog walker in Chicago and quickly chose working with animals as a career path! She now has over five years of experience working with dogs of all temperament and sizes; from nervous and small to large and loud, Jess has a passion for ensuring all dogs are fulfilled and happy! She believes nature and getting outside are paramount to the fulfillment of dogs- Orchard Point’s acreage and enrichment options are what brought her to the team!

Jessica | Daycare Specialist

Jessica is an amazing mom who’s bringing that same big-hearted love she has for her own family to our OPK pack. She cares for every dog as if they were hers — and we know that’s true because her sweet pup, Candy, often joins in on the fun! When she’s not sharing laughs with the team, you’ll usually find her down by the pond, tossing sticks for our enthusiastic swimmers.

Shallise | Media & Care Specialist

Shallise has been working with dogs since 2017. Her love for pups is shown best through how she captures them. She has a natural talent for getting any temperament to listen attentively, and trust her. Shallise's great attitude & calm presence brings a sense of ease to our team, giving us the patience to take on any challenge in the day.

Jamie | Daycare Specialist

Jamie previously started and owned a dog daycare and boarding facility in Coos Bay. She grew up with dogs and has a deep sense of care and compassion for all fur babies. When she is not at home spoiling her rescue terrier, Tonka, by cuddling or going for hikes around her property, she is at OPK hanging with the pack. Jamie also started her own line of homemade, all-natural dog treats that she sells at the farmers market in Veneta on Saturdays.

Brandon | Boarding Handler

Jonah | Administrative Support

If you’re ready to make things official during your stay, Jonah is your go-to guy. He works behind the scenes keeping the website up to date, ensuring our client experience is smooth, and helping us plan our next steps to improve your dogs stay with us. When he’s not at the computer, you’ll often find him working on property projects with Pop Pop!

How did we get here?

Mandy founded Sevadog Rescue in 2013, inspired by her years of fostering, volunteering at Greenhill, and working with other dog groups in Lane County. She envisioned a forever home rescue — a place where dogs who had never known family could finally belong, even if they were never adopted.

Nonprofit work runs on passion, not profit. But even passion needs financial support, especially when a family grows and rescue dogs arrive with serious medical needs.

That reality encouraged us to rethink how we raised funds. Rather than relying solely on donations, we believed that people would be more eager to support our mission by investing in services that strengthen their own relationships with their dogs — through expert training, socialization, and support.

When a former dog boarding property went up for sale nearby, we knew it was the perfect chance to bring this vision to life. That’s how Orchard Point Kennels was born.

Our mission at Orchard Point Kennels is to strengthen the bond between families and their dogs through enrichment, education, and expert care. By offering high-quality services and hosting fellow trainers, behaviorists, and educators, we aim to uplift professionals in the dog community while giving dog owners access to the best support available. A portion of our profits will directly support Sevadog Rescue, ensuring we can continue our community rescue work and provide second chances to dogs in need.
