Our daily schedule is organized into four to five curated rotations to ensure a balanced experience for every guest. These include post-feeding rest periods for healthy digestion, as well as dedicated playtime. This can look like tailored play groups, pairs, or personalized one-on-one sessions with our handlers. To wrap up the day, we conduct evening relief rotations so every dog can settle in for a restful, comfortable night’s sleep. The length of each outing can vary. A 16-year old Chihuahua may not need as much time outside as a 2-year old Golden Retriever. Our goal is to enrich the dogs stay via 1:1 affection, yard exploration and play.

Pre-Boarding Assessment Policy To ensure the highest standard of safety and individualized care, Orchard Point Kennels requires an in-person assessment prior to confirming any boarding stay, if any of the following apply to your dog(s): Behavioral or Medical Needs: Your dog has specific medical requirements, physical disabilities, or temperament concerns (such as human or dog reactivity) that require a specialized care plan. Registration Indicators: During the digital registration process, certain responses in the behavioral section may trigger a required evaluation so our team can better understand your dog's unique needs. Social Play: You would like your dog to participate in group play or social interactions with other guests. They'll need to complete a Play Passport day. Please note: your dog must be a recurring daycare regular to play with other dogs during boarding stays. If you'd like your dog to have a 'trial' day stay, choose our Day Boarding option.

For dogs 25 lbs and under, we can crate or kennel them together, allowing them to comfortably share any of our boarding spaces together. For our larger guests, we offer Pet Lodge Lux units, which comfortably accommodate two dogs up to 85 lbs each in the same space. For dogs over 85 lbs, we place the dogs in units next to one another. Allowing them to hear, smell, and, depending on the unit, see one another at all times. Regardless of the boarding setup, all dogs from the same family share rotation times unless the owner requests otherwise.

When you're booking in the client portal (Gingr) you'll be able to add on any enrichment opportunities during the booking request process.

Clients are required to supply any food/needed medication, and a collar. Your dog must be leashed upon arrival. We will use one of our loose leads to switch with your leash during drop-off and pick up. A general rule of thumb we have: don't bring anything you're not willing to get back! Our team is dedicated to returning any belongings back to you that we can. But something to keep in mind is, we have hundreds of leashes, towels, blankets, bowls, etc. Things can get lost in the mix quite easily.

The Enrichment Gym at Orchard Point Kennels is a structured, low-impact space where dogs engage in guided mental and physical challenges tailored to build confidence, reduce anxiety, and strengthen essential life skills. Unlike traditional play, which burns energy through excitement and movement, enrichment sessions are designed to stimulate your dog’s mind—helping them feel more fulfilled and better prepared for advanced training like agility or obedience work. This space is where our Scent & Moving Puzzle, FitPaws, and Clicker Enrichment sessions take place. Whether your dog is working through problem-solving puzzles, practicing core body strength on FitPaws equipment, or learning new commands with positive reinforcement, each activity is designed to help them thrive in a calmer, more focused way. Mental work can be just as exhausting (and more beneficial long-term) than hours of open play—and it helps build lasting confidence, focus, and trust. All boarding guests receive a text update with a photo based on drop-off time: Drop-offs before 5 PM will receive an update the same day. Drop-offs after 5 PM will receive an update the following day. Update Schedule by Boarding Type: Pet Lodge: 1 update per stay (or every 5 days) Pet Lodge Plus: 2 updates per stay (or every 3 days) Pet Lodge Lux: Updates every other day + a detailed report card at the end of the stay. All clients are welcome to text our facility number (included in your confirmation email) for updates. We’ll do our best to respond to every request, but please note: We cannot guarantee replies unless you are booked under Pet Lodge Plus or Pet Lodge Lux. Excessive requests will result in our Update Boost being added on. Texting is still a great way to let us know about preferences, arrival times, or quick questions

The Enrichment Gym is a one-on-one session tailored to engage your dog’s brain and body through fun, structured activities like puzzle toys, confidence courses, obedience games, and light agility work. What are the benefits for my dog? Mental stimulation helps reduce anxiety, boredom, and behavioral issues. It’s a great outlet for dogs with extra energy, shy personalities, or those needing a change from standard play. What kinds of activities are included? Depending on your dog’s interests and ability, we may include: Snuffle mats and scent games Obstacle and confidence courses Low Impact Positive Reinforcement Training Food puzzles and training games Agility tunnels, low jumps, and more! Who can participate? The Enrichment Gym is open to both daycare and boarding dogs. Boarding dogs must have weekday stays, and daycare dogs must be here for at least 6 hours. All dogs must be willing to engage — we’ll follow their lead! How do I book a session? You can request an Enrichment Gym add-on when scheduling your daycare or boarding stay. Just let us know you’d like to include it, and we’ll confirm availability! Will I get updates about my dog’s session? Yes! Our team will keep you posted on how your dog is doing and what activities they enjoyed. We love celebrating their progress with you.

In each room we have security cameras that our team monitors frequently. The cameras are equipped with motion, light, and excessive sound detection notifications if anything arises.

We don’t provide food as part of our boarding services, so we ask that you pack enough for your dog’s entire stay. If your pup runs out of food, we’re happy to step in—feedings are $5 each, just like in daycare. Need a refill? We can pick up food for you for a $30 service fee plus the cost of the food. You’re also welcome to send deliveries directly to us via delivery services like Instacart or PetSmart.

Absolutely. Fresh, clean water is available in every lodging type 24/7. Our team performs "water rounds" throughout the day to ensure bowls are topped off and sanitized. For dogs with issues of excessive water consumption, we ask that you label it in your dogs profile.

All of our daycare and boarding services are billed per calendar day. The only exception is for boarding—if you pick up by 10 AM on the final day of your stay, you won’t be charged for that day.
