Yards Yards Yard
We have 9 fully fenced yards, some measuring up to a third of an acre. Each yard is used daily for a variety of purposes: training, hosting, potty breaks, and playtime for our guests. These spaces allow the dogs to explore and get comfortable, with plenty of opportunities to challenge their minds. To encourage curiosity, we’ve added agility structures and toys throughout the yards, providing mental stimulation and fun.
At Orchard Point Kennels, we know a fun day in the yard needs to be followed by a cozy, comfortable space to rest. That’s why we offer three distinct boarding options, each designed to meet the needs of your pet:
Pet Lodge Lux
Luxury lodging for dogs who need space and comfort. These 20 sq ft suites include plush bedding on a Kuranda bed and private access to a 20x6 ft outdoor kennel during the day—plus all the play and rotations from our dedicated Lux hanlder.
Pet Lodge Plus
Our standard and upgraded lodging options offer a safe, comfortable place for your dog to rest between playtimes. Whether they’re in a standard crate with cozy bedding or a larger kennel with a raised Kuranda bed, every pup gets room to relax and a routine designed with their comfort in mind.
Pet Lodge
Our Barks & Rec play yard is built for safe, off-leash fun. With privacy fencing, bark chips to reduce mud, and a mix of play structures and agility elements, it’s the perfect space for dogs to explore and burn energy. Connected directly to our indoor barn, it offers a seamless flow between indoor and outdoor play.

How do I add-on enrichment to my dogs stay? When you're booking in the client portal (Gingr) you'll be able to add on any enrichment opportunities during the booking request process.
-
How often do the dogs get out to the yards? We split each day up into four to five rotations. Some are designated for post feeding. Others are designated playtime sessions in groups/pairs/solo play with a handler. Then in the evening, we have potty rotations so they can sleep soundly.
-
Is a crate safe for my dog? While we have other lodging options for guests, crates have been our personal choice method for our own dogs. Through Rescue & Training experience, we've learned these important attributes about crates: Safety and Security: A crate provides a safe and secure space for your dog. Especially when we're not around to supervise, like at night, or during a busy rotation period. It helps prevent accidents or injuries that could happen if your dog roams freely around the main-house. Den-Like Comfort: Dogs are naturally den animals. A crate mimics a cozy, den-like environment, offering a space where your dog can retreat to relax, feel safe, and reduce anxiety. Setting A Routine & Potty Training: Crates are a highly effective tool for creating a routine for their eating, sleeping, and potty habits. Dogs generally avoid things like soiling their sleeping areas, so a properly-sized crate encourages them to hold their bladder until they're let outside. Prevents Destructive Behavior: When dogs are left unsupervised, they might engage in destructive behavior like chewing on furniture or shoes. A crate helps prevent this by keeping your dog contained and focused on appropriate toys, Kong's, treats, or rest.
-
If my dog is in boarding will they get to join in on daycare? If your dog is already apart of our daycare program and or is a great play candidate; they'll be included in social play with other dogs. Below are the types of play we have at OPK. Types of play: - Solo play with a handler - Playgroups with daycare/boarding dogs - Play pairs, where small groups fit their play style
-
If I have more than one dog, can they sleep in the same space? For dogs 25 lbs and under, we can crate or kennel them together, allowing them to comfortably share any of our boarding spaces together. For our larger guests, we offer Pet Lodge Lux units, which comfortably accommodate two dogs up to 65 lbs each in the same space. For dogs over 65 lbs, we place the dogs in units next to one another. Allowing them to hear, smell, and, depending on the unit, see one another at all times. Regardless of the boarding setup, all dogs from the same family share rotation times unless the owner requests otherwise.
-
What belongings do I bring with my dog for their visit?Clients are required to supply any food/needed medication, and a collar. Your dog must be leashed upon arrival. We will use one of our loose leads to switch with your leash during drop-off. A general rule of thumb we have: don't bring anything you're not willing to get back! Our team is dedicated to returning any belongings back to you that we can. But something to keep in mind is, we have hundreds of leashes, towels, blankets, bowls, etc. Things can get lost in the mix quite easily.

What is the 'Enrichment Gym?The Enrichment Gym at Orchard Point Kennels is a structured, low-impact space where dogs engage in guided mental and physical challenges tailored to build confidence, reduce anxiety, and strengthen essential life skills. Unlike traditional play, which burns energy through excitement and movement, enrichment sessions are designed to stimulate your dog’s mind—helping them feel more fulfilled and better prepared for advanced training like agility or obedience work. This space is where our Scent & Moving Puzzle, FitPaws, and Clicker Enrichment sessions take place. Whether your dog is working through problem-solving puzzles, practicing core body strength on FitPaws equipment, or learning new commands with positive reinforcement, each activity is designed to help them thrive in a calmer, more focused way. Mental work can be just as exhausting (and more beneficial long-term) than hours of open play—and it helps build lasting confidence, focus, and trust. Have questions about how the Enrichment Gym can benefit your dog? Email us at info@orchardpointkennel.com.
-
Are all of your guests vaccinated? We do not confirm any booking, without proof for the following immunizations: - DHPP/DAPP - Bordetella - Rabies
-
Are my dogs supervised at night? In each room we have security cameras that our team monitors frequently. With motion/excessive sound detection notifications if anything arises. Additionally, someone sleeps in a trailer on-site.
-
If I sign up for updates, how often should I expect to get one?You will always get a photo & text update within 24 hours of drop-off for all boarding stays. Following the initial update, you'll get a message every other day of your dogs stay. You're more than welcome to message at anytime, and our team will respond as quickly as possible! Please note: We do not send updates for any stay that is less than 24 hours. If you're in our daycare program and would like an update, please let us know! What is the Enrichment Gym and how do I add it on to my dogs stay? The Enrichment Gym is a one-on-one session tailored to engage your dog’s brain and body through fun, structured activities like puzzle toys, confidence courses, obedience games, and light agility work. What are the benefits for my dog? Mental stimulation helps reduce anxiety, boredom, and behavioral issues. It’s a great outlet for dogs with extra energy, shy personalities, or those needing a change from standard play. What kinds of activities are included? Depending on your dog’s interests and ability, we may include: Snuffle mats and scent games Obstacle and confidence courses Low Impact Positive Reinforcement Training Food puzzles and training games Agility tunnels, low jumps, and more! Who can participate? The Enrichment Gym is open to both daycare and boarding dogs. Boarding dogs must have weekday stays, and daycare dogs must be here for at least 6 hours. All dogs must be willing to engage — we’ll follow their lead! How do I book a session? You can request an Enrichment Gym add-on when scheduling your daycare or boarding stay. Just let us know you’d like to include it, and we’ll confirm availability! Will I get updates about my dog’s session? Yes! Our team will keep you posted on how your dog is doing and what activities they enjoyed. We love celebrating their progress with you.

Can I leave my dog for one night to test out your facility?Absolutely! Leaving your dog somewhere new can feel nerve-wracking, but rest assured, your pup will be in great hands—think of us as the fun aunt or uncle with all the cool toys. What are Passport days? All daycare guests intending to join our social daycare program are required to attend our Passport day which is held on Fridays every week. Our goals during this process: Evaluate social play eligibility – Ensuring your dog is comfortable and suited for group interactions. Assess recall skills – Measuring their responsiveness in stimulating environments. Build confidence & trust – Helping them feel secure and connected with our team.
